Prof. Ignatius Bezzam

FoundER, CEO, Chairman of the Board

Prof. Ignatius Bezzam is a PhD graduate in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University (2015) and a Bachelor of Technology graduate of IIT Madras, India in 1983. Dr. Bezzam holds several key patents in Analog Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit (IC) design with publications in top international conferences, including the ISSCC, ESSCIRC and TCAS.

Dr. Bezzam has owned 30 first silicon successes with global teams, with 33 years of next generation chip design experience in Silicon Valley, Europe and Asia. He has pioneered and productized the integration of Cable Front ends, RF CMOS with inductors, Giga-bit serial communications, Server power management, among others. Energy recycling using inductors on SoC is a higher achievement on this trajectory of breakthroughs. Dr. Bezzam has extensive experience transferring new designs to production with TSMC, Toshiba, GlobalFoundries, Maxim Integrated Products, National Semiconductor and Raytheon. These innovations are still used by products today in the mobile, PC, consumer electronics and communications markets. The inventions are attested not only by the various key patents awarded but also by top journal and conference publications.

Dr. Bezzam’s ability for disruptive innovations comes from being able to integrate techniques from disparate fields such as Digital and Analog, RF and Power management, Electrical and Mechanical engineering. He believes this comes up naturally from his upbringing of having to learn 7 languages in various parts of the world and connect the people of contrasting cultures. He enjoys coaching both baseball and soccer. Dr. Bezzam resides in Los Altos, California with his wife Laura Carcione of 30 years; actively volunteering in the local community.
